Dr Rachel Morris has developed the 'Shapes Toolkit a resilience programme for healthcare professionals. One element of
this toolkit explores the challenge of time and workload.
Work overload is the single biggest cause of stress at work and this workshop looks at how to deal with the overwhelm caused
by increasing workload. We use the prioritisation grid as a way to prioritise tasks and use it to identify at those things that are
regularly cropping up as 'urgent' and blocking our productivity and creativity. Using the Zone of Power, we then look at what we
can do to be proactive to stop these things taking up so much of our time, how we can maintain more focus and plan to do the
important things that never seem to get done. This workshop is a great way to identify and start to address some of those
things that might be causing increased workload and reduced productivity and to have great discussions about how to help
ourselves and each other focus on the really important stuff.
