·Gain practical ideas that will allow you to consider how to support the development of psychological safety in your
systems.
Psychological safety is a shared belief that the team is safe for interpersonal risk taking. It can be defined as "being able to
show and employ one's self without fear of negative consequences of self-image, status or career" (Kahn
1990).Psychological safety at work is needed in order to foster trust, creativity, collaboration, and innovation within and
across teams, groups, and levels in an organization This session will explore the importance of employees feeling they
can speak up without the fear of making a mistake for innovation, learning and productivity. It will also discuss the key
challenges faced in building psychological safety in the workplace and share techniques for overcoming them.
